We can never love the future the way we can love the past.
A bird in the bush is worth the bird in the hand, plus a little more practice catching birds.
"It's been months since his last post."
"Is he dead?"
"As far as we're concerned."
The fact that my computer, purchased nearly 8 years ago, still does a remarkable job of fulfilling my needs is either a testament to the incredible quality and versatility of the machine, or a sign that I haven't come very far since then.
If life naturally finds a balance of good and bad, I'm either making up for a lot of unpleasant years in my youth, or in for a lot of trouble in the future.
In this age of innovation, complexity, and interaction, it's amazing how many people do the same thing everyday.
